John Atkinson sent in this photo. It is from a newspaper and shows a morning assembly in 1958. It says that the pupils would now be aged 62 or 63, but I think the paper must have been printed some 5 or 6 years ago.

John Child asks: I just wonder if the picture is back to front as I recall that we sat facing the stage with the long hall windows to the right and not to the left of us. The photo was of course taken from the balcony.
So, should the picture look like this?
