Karen Buckley has some final memories of some
teachers and her last day at school. (This was added a week before
the website closed down).
Hope it is not too late to add the following for posterity, here are some additional memories of teachers:
Taffy Newell: His niece was the first wife of the actor Richard Burton.
Mr R R Jones: Loved mathematics and was hugely disappointed when telling us how a single greenfly could have thousands of progeny over a season did not excite a response. A muscle in his cheek would twitch when upset. Sadly he died of cancer in c. 1965.
DHL Meadows always wore a white coat with holes in, caused by acid splashes, it was known as 'Meadow's lace'.
Mr LW Timms: Catching me whistling on the stair between classes, informed me that "Whistling women and crowing hens will chase the devil out of his den"
When I left Trinity, in May 1967, early as I has a job at Monks Wood Experimental Station, I jumped the pond in the courtyard, watched by the pupils in the music room. One off my bucket list!
