My name is John Knight and I attended The
Technical High School from September 1954 to July 1959 (prior to the
renaming of the school to Trinity High).
Mick Ryan was my best friend at school. We both lived in Raeburn Road and biked to school together, and in the 1958 school photo we are stood next to each other. We played rugby together. I lost contact with Mick in the late 70's and was very sad to lean that he had died in 2007.
I left the fifth form after GCE O-Levels in 1959 and spent the next 24 years in the Royal Navy. Between 1961 and 1963 I played rugby for Trinity Old Boys whilst Mick had moved onto play for the Saints.
I have a couple of photos of Rugger teams from the late 50's and the fixture list. They are below.
